ROOTED IN COMMUNITY, REACHING FOR THE FUTURE.

I-Rep Foundation is a community-based organization committed to ending harmful cultural practices and championing the rights, education, and empowerment of girls and women — especially in West Pokot County, Kenya. We work with communities, leaders, and stakeholders to dismantle practices that threaten the safety, dignity, and future of girls and women, with a focus on ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage through grassroots mobilization, strong advocacy, public awareness, and education.

This isn't just our name — it's our call to action. Every member of the community has a responsibility to protect girls and women from harmful practices. Fathers, mothers, brothers, community leaders, and policymakers: we are all responsible.

To be the influential voice to end all forms of Gender Based Violence and abuse in order to achieve a safe society that recognizes, values and respects the rights and dignity of women and girls.

A society free from all forms of violence against women and girls.

To create a just society where women and girls are empowered to fully enjoy their human rights and live to their full potential.

The organization’s core principles are encapsulated in the acronym I_REP; Integrity, Respect, Equity and Professionalism. These values guide the foundation’s efforts to foster community awareness, improve access to education and advocate for the rights and well-being of women and girls.

We lead community sensitization, dialogue forums, public campaigns, and stakeholder engagement to challenge and reduce the prevalence of FGM in West Pokot, involving all members of the community — including men and boys — as part of the solution.

Through awareness and mentorship, we work to protect girls from early and forced marriages — advocating for education and alternative pathways that uphold girls' rights.
